News from Amphora Winery
November, 2008

Harvest is over (we pressed out the last fermenter about 2 weeks ago), and the wines are now resting in barrel. The crush started with a "bang" in late August, with a late summer heat wave that accelerated ripening. In general, began a bit earlier than usual, and yields were 'down' mostly a result of late-spring frosts. The overall quality looks great, and we're very happy with the wine in barrel. We have some surprises for those of you in the Wine Club!
